Professional Experience

Dr. Charles Wahome is the Chief Consultant Pathologist at Pathologists Lancet Kenya, having been appointed to the role in April 2021.

Dr. Wahome has been working with the Lancet Group of Laboratories in Kenya since the year 2016, having joined as an anatomical pathologist and subsequently taking on the added responsibility of pathologist-in-charge of quality management systems and quality assurance (QA Pathologist) – a role that saw him lead the ISO 15189 accreditation of over 10 laboratories in East Africa.

Dr. Wahome undertook his medical undergraduate studies at the University of Nairobi (UoN) and anatomical pathology residency training at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Nairobi. He previously worked at the Aga Khan Hospital Mombasa as the Laboratory Director and Anatomical Pathologist prior to 2016.
